'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Loyal Supporters

Fickle and arrogant are words often aimed in the direction of Forest fans usually from the opposition. But for a club enduring it's second season in the graveyard of British football, namely League 1, the loyalty of the supporters can not be called into question.

Over 25,000 tickets have already been sold for the Bank Holiday Monday clash with relegation threatened Rotherham United. Contrast this with the fact that on Friday our neighbours Leicester City, had a Derby match against the Sheep and could only manage a rather sorry 24,704.

Despite the clubs lowly position in the football world, Forest's attendances have remained pretty healthy. The recent game against Cheltenham saw Forest get the highest attendance in the country with a turnout of 22,640. Admittedly there were no Premiership games that weekend, but nonetheless it was a fantastic turnout by the fans.

The game on Monday is set for a sellout. Tickets can be bought on the day of the game, or online, but the club is warning fans to expect queues.

Loyal yes, but making it a tenner a pop on a bank holiday may have helped! Still, not being a season ticket holder I'm not complaining.
