Season Over For Tyson

Tyson received his latest serious injury in the Bank Holiday Monday game with Rotherham. The striker was replaced at half time in the 1-1 draw. It was revealed that he has ruptured the medial ligament in his left knee. This now leaves the Reds with a sadly depleted frontline, with only Lester and Grant Holt fit.

Junior Agogo is out for the season and Scott Dobie is still recovering. This could see Spencer Weir-Daley earn a recall from his loan spell at Bradford. Either way it's a serious blow to the Reds promotion campaign.

The club has said that although it is the same knee that was injured on the opening day of the season, it is a completely different injury. Tyson will miss the last four games of the season and any part the club plays in the playoffs.

He's not been right this season, maybe its for the best and he can return with flying colours next season.
