'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Commons On Fire!

Kris Commons is confident of continuing his Nottingham Forest goal-scoring spree in Saturday's crunch clash with Crewe at The City Ground.

The key midfielder has scored five goals in the last three games to help revive Forest's automatic promotion hopes.

The Reds will be promoted if they beat Crewe and Bristol City fail to overcome Rotherham at Ashton Gate.

And Commons is understandably in a positive frame of mind as he finalises his preparation for what could be a decisive weekend. 'I feel like a striker in form rather than a midfielder,' he told Forest World.

'Whenever I've got a chance in or around the box, I feel as though I'm going to score. 'I just feel as though I'm always going to hit the target and make the goalkeeper work.

'The turning point was down at Brentford a weeks ago when I scored with a shot that the 'keeper should really have saved. He didn't, it went in and things have gone really well for me since then.'

Quick someone put him out! We already have too many injured players! Sorry, I will fetch my cloak.

We have waited long enough this season for him to ignite
