Crewe Captain Wants To Railroad Reds

Crewe defender Julien Baudet is actually looking forward to 90 minutes of stick from the Nottingham Forest fans on Saturday! The Crewe captain is desperate to end Forest's hopes of clinching that second automatic promotion spot behind Scunthorpe United because of his past allegiance to their near neighbours Notts County.

Baudet admits he received his fair share of banter from the travelling Forest fans when they arrived in South Cheshire back in December. Nathan Tyson hit a stunning hat-trick (all of which I missed!!!!!!) to inspire the Reds to an emphatic 4-1 win at Gresty Road.

In an attempt to stir up the masses, Julien told the Crewe's official web-site: 'We want to end the season on a high with another good performance. From a personal point of view, if I can help upset their promotion hopes then I would be delighted!

'We want to win the last game and I'm sure it will be close to a full house, so that will mean over 30,000 fans. It is always nice as a player to play in that sort of atmosphere. It will certainly be interesting.

'I got loads of stick from the Forest fans when they came to Gresty Road but it's brilliant. I really like the banter. The English fans can be really funny and it is part of the game. It doesn't upset me at all. You just have to get on with it.

The French captain added: 'It has been a long season for us and there have been plenty of highs and lows. I suppose there has been a fair few more lows and we are all disappointed. I will enjoy the break but can't wait to get into it and working in pre-season again.'
