'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Barking' Up The Wrong Tree?

Neil Baker insists Crewe have a duty to themselves, and promotion rivals Nottingham Forest and Bristol City, to go all out for victory at the City Ground tomorrow.

Forest can nick the second automatic League One promotion spot if they beat Crewe and City fail to overcome Rotherham.

And the Alex assistant manager said: 'We won't put out an experimental team ... and not just for the sake of Forest and City because we want to win our last game.

'It would be good for our supporters and it would be a morale-booster for the players to end the season with a win.'

One change Crewe will contemplate is the introduction of teenage midfielder Mark Carrington, who recently signed a two-year deal with the club.

He could make his first senior start tomorrow in what will be Dario Gradi's last game in sole charge of Crewe before he assumes the title of football technical director on July 1.

Darren Moss is also poised for a recall at right-back as Danny Woodards (thigh) is still injured. Midfielder Mike O'Connor (groin) is also unlikely to feature.

'Danny won't play as he has not trained all week,' said Baker, 'But Mark has a good chance.'

Whatever line-up Gradi and Co opt for, it promises to be a nailbiting afternoon for home fans as Forest aim to snatch the final automatic promotion spot.
