Reds Favourites to Sign Celtic Bhoy

Reports suggest that Forest are to offer the 35 year old a two year contract as player/coach.

Lennon was signed from Leicester City in 2000, by his former boss Martin O'Neill for 5.75M. In 2005 he was made captain of Celtic and on April 25 this year announced he was leaving the Bhoys' after winning the Scottish League/Cup Double. The holding midfielder is said to have had plenty of offers, both North and South of the border, but is keen on a move back to the Midlands. Despite leaving Celtic, he still wants to stay in the game and is thought to fancy the idea of a role as player/coach.

Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland, but retired from international football in 2002, because of death threats before a game against Cyprus. He made 214 appearances for Celtic and scored 3 goals.
