'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Barlow Back In Business

Frank Barlow is expected to be appointed as the assistant to Chris Hutchings at Wigan Athletic. Barlow formed one half of the 'Charlie and Frank' double act that so nearly got Forest into the playoffs in 2006.

Barlow went to Hull City after departing the City Ground and eventually became assistant to Phil Parkinson, but the job only lasted five months.

He will be best remembered by Reds fans for his partnership with Ian McParland. The pair took over the reins at Forest just after the resignation of Gary Megson. They took the team and the fans on an unbelievable 10 game unbeaten run, that saw us go from 4 points off relegation, to the brink of the playoffs.

I think all Forest fans will wish him well. 'Chris and Frank' doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
