Make Your Mind Up Time For Commons

After weeks of rumour and speculation, it seems as though the Kris Commons saga could be coming to an end.

Manager Colin Calderwood told the official site,. 'I can't wait for Friday to come around because as soon as I get an answer from Kris, the sooner other things will fit into place.' It all sounds as though any new signings will hinge on whether our 23 year old playmaker puts pen to paper.

The other story of note, that may be embroiled in the Commons saga, is the news that Forest have apparently made a £200,000 bid for Preston youngster Kelvin Wilson. Radio Nottingham broke the news that the 21 year old defender and former Notts County player was a target.

Wilson has made only 16 appearances for Preston since joining in March, 2006. He's a local lad and described as a central defender, who can also play as fullback. That would probably fit in with Calderwoods' preferred formation of 3-5-2 for the coming season.

If everything hinges on Kris Commons making a decision on his future, then tomorrow could be an exciting day. For better or worse, it looks as though we will get some answers.
