Agathe - Gets A Chance With Reds

Agathe 31, is a free agent after being released by Aston Villa. The Frenchman is to have a trial with the Reds and will also join the club on its pre season tour of Austria.

He began his career in France with Montpellier and in 1999 moved to Scotland to join Raith Rovers. In 2000 Celtic signed the player from Hibernian for just 50.000. Agathe made 121 appearances for the Bhoys and scored nine goals.

Agathe has even played as a striker at Raith, but his orthodox position is a fullback/wingback. This could be yet more confirmation that Calderwood is looking to implement a 5-3-2 system this season.
