Forest Sign Chris Cohen

Cohen is a former West Ham Utd academy player, who went out on loan to the Glovers in 2006. He impressed the club so much during his loan spell, that in June of that year they took him on permanently.

The 20 year old has cost Forest an undisclosed fee, but it will be around the £750,000 mark and that is money well spent. It was rumoured that we tried to sign him in the January transfer window, but the deal fell through. He has signed a 4 year deal and it shows that this season Nottingham Forest mean business.

In his time at Huish Park, Cohen has picked up countless Player of the Year awards and was very much a fans favourite at the Somerset club. At the end of the season Cohen was struggling with a groin injury, but has since had this operated on and is expected to be fully fit come the start of the season.

Cohen is a creative and versatile midfielder who gives 100% every game. He is a real talent and looks set to have a great future in the game. He made 79 appearances for Yeovil and scored 2 goals. This is just the sort of player Forest need and have been crying out for and if the Yeovil message boards are anything to go by, then their loss is most certainly our gain. This is a sign of intent from the Forest hierarchy, that they mean business and look set to make a serious challenge to get out of this League. For once their efforts will be applauded and welcomed by supporters.
