'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Show And No Go On Agathe

Agathe's former Celtic team mate Neil Lennon had introduced the Frenchman to Forest and manager Colin Calderwood.

The club decided to offer Agathe a trial and invited him to join the rest of the squad on their pre season trip to Austria, but the Frenchman never arrived. Manager Colin Calderwood told the official site. 'We had expected Didier to join up with us for the trip but he didn't turn up. It's a lost opportunity for him.'

Although Agathe made 121 appearances for Celtic, he only made 5 appearances for Villa last season. All the more reason for Forest to take the sensible approach and offer the 31 year old a trial. Still, it will be no great loss to the club, if he can't be bothered to turn up when invited.
