Good News On The Injury Front

Forest midfielder Sammy Clingan has been given the all clear to represent a Northern Ireland X11 in a commemorative game against Everton at the weekend, in a bid to regain full fitness from a broken ankle.

The club had at first thought the friendly for N. Ireland would come too early and had earmarked a training game whilst on the clubs pre season trip to Austria. But manager Colin Calderwood told the official site, 'He is looking very, very powerful. So much so that we have changed our minds and allowed him to go over and play for the Irish FA.' Sammy is expected to play no more than 45 mins.

Other good news from the training camp is that striker Junior Agogo should be fit for the seasons' start. The club says he is making a great recovery from his pelvic injury that saw him miss the run in to the end of the season. Calderwood said he was on the verge of joining in full training.

We really will have an embarassment of riches to select from in midfield with the return of SC. Need to get those strikers fit though!
