Poll Result - Reds Need New Striker

Poll Result - Reds Need New Striker

Forum member PeteHusky suggested Vital Forests' latest poll, on where Nottingham Forest needed to strengthen for the new season.

Pete asked, 'If Forest could sign 1 more player, what do they need most?' 70% of Vital members voted that Calderwood should invest in a new striker, many stating that this was our major downfall at the end of the last campaign.

Main strikers Tyson and Agogo missed the end of season run in due to injury and many saw this as one of the reasons we missed out on promotion. 16% of voters said we needed a new keeper as backup for Smith, especially since the club allowed reserve team keeper Paddy Gamble to move out on a season long loan to Stalybridge Celtic.

Here are the results in full:

Goalkeeper 16%.
Defender 4%.
Central Defender 4%.
Winger 4%.
Striker 70%.
None 2%.
