Lennon Loves The Boo Boys

Forest midfielder Neil Lennon is more than used to getting the rough end of opposing fans tongues and expects no less when he returns to Scotland for the first time, since signing for the Reds.

Lennon has played more than his fair share of 'Old Firm' derbies whilst with Celtic and is more than ready to meet his abusers.

The tough talking, tough tackling N. Irishman, told the official site 'I think it might be a bit of an eye opener for some of the lads at Forest. But I'm used to it, would feed off it and when I had been given some stick, it would make a victory even sweeter.'

Lennon was often labelled as the panto villain by the Scottish press. He was very much the one the fans loved to hate. This all bodes well for Forest. One of the major reasons for Forest's demise in recent years, has been the absence of a leader on the pitch. Someone who can rally the troops and get his team mates up for the task. Neil Lennon should fill that role admirably.

Lennon is a Northern Ireland international not a "Scot".

I'm not sure where DJ finds a reason to say what he did, but I read this over a few times and don't see a reference to him being Scottish. There is however a distinct reference to "the Northern Irishman". One thing is for sure though, DJ needs to remember that fellow "Northern Irishmen" wanted him dead! I think I'd rather be a Scot!

The story has now been altered. I also don't need to be reminded of anything you patronising fool. It was a small minority of extremists, which obviously Northern Ireland will continue to have for some time to come.

Lennon will become the fans favourite this season
