'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Forest Fan Interview. Part 4

1 - How long have you been following Forest and what got you started?

Since 1984 I think. My dad was a big Forest fan and there was never even a choice as far as I was concerned. I have always believed in supporting your home town club and to be honest I did not even know Notts County existed until I was about 11!

2 - What is your most memorable moment as a Forest fan? Good or Bad.

Hillsborough - nuff said.

3 - Since you have been following Forest what would your Best Eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?

Well I guess that means that I should select a team from 84` onwards.

1. Steve Sutton
2. Brian Laws
3. Stuart Pearce
4. Des Walker
5. Michael Dawson
6. Roy Keane
7. Steve Stone
8. Neil Webb
9. Nigel Clough
10. Stan Collymore
11. Garry Parker

Fav player? Its got to be Stuart Pearce.

4 - What is would you say is the best goal you have seen Forest score?

This is a tough one. For purely sentimental reason it would have to be Neil Webb against Luton in the 89` league cup final. An amazing cross from Tommy Gaynor and a great finish by Webby. It was special as it won us our first trophy in 9 years.

5 - Best away ground visited?

The most impressive was Old Trafford but the best atmosphere was the Baseball Ground.
.
6 - What are your thoughts on the proposed new stadium?

It is an absolute necessity if we are ever going to return to the top flight and stay there. It is little more than a dream at the moment for me though.

7- Are you pleased with the new signings made so far and is there any other player you would have liked to have seen us sign (realistically)?.

Yes, very happy. I would like us to have got Neil Danns or Izale Mcleod.

8 - What are your thoughts on how last season ended and how did it compare to your expectations?

I was thoroughly sick to the stomach with that performance. I could not even bring myself to discuss football for a month afterwards, including posting on this site! I expected us to finish in the play-off places at the start of the season but from the position we were in it could have been so much better. Then, the 2-0 win the 1st leg of the play off semi-final made it almost impossible for us to screw it up a second time but we did. They owe us 'big time` this season.

9 -Despite the new signings, are there any areas in the side you think need adding to?

We need another forward desperately. I would also have liked us to signed a specialist right back as well but I am not too worried about Perchy playing there.

10 - Where do you sit at the City Ground?

Anywhere! Have not had a season ticket or 3 years now as I have to miss a large proportion of games every season for various reasons. I used to have a season ticket in the BC stand but I never liked it to much. I prefer the main stand if given a choice.
