Forest Win Spoilt By Violence

Two goals from defender Luke Chambers gave Nottingham Forest the spoils as the Reds beat Notts 2-1 at Meadow Lane.

A mainly youthful Forest side put in another decent performance in the pre season preparations for the new campaign in front of over 7,000 fans, mainly Red from what I heard.

Neil McKenzie pulled one back for Notts, but it was Chambers who bagged the winner in the 85th minute for the Reds.

The match though ended with some ugly scenes, as fans from both sides clashed after the whistle. A mass brawl or skirmish broke out, depending on who you believe. But it was enough for Calderwood and his backroom staff to intervene and try and put a stop to it, so credit to them for that.
