It's Captain Lennon

Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has a ready made replacement in Neil Lennon for the role of club captain.

Ian Breckin will be sidelined for two weeks with a calf injury sustained in training. It came as a bit of a surprise when Breckin was once again given the captaincy role at the start of the seaon.

As soon as Lennon arrived from Celtic it was assumed by many that he would automatically become club captain, a job he did with great success at Parkhead. But Calderwood stuck with Breckin, who in the eyes of most fans did not have his best season for the Reds last year. In a recent Vital Forest poll, Lennon came out top for the fans choice as club captain.
