International Call Up For Our Sammy

Clingan who is still only 23, looks set to earn his 9th cap for Northern Ireland. The midfielder has been added to the squad for the game against Liechtenstein on 22 August at Windsor Park.

He was named man of the match after Saturday's goaless draw at the City Ground against Bournemouth, after hitting the woodwork twice and finding himself unlucky not to get on the scoresheet to notch up his first Forest goal.

Sammy has represented his country at Under 17, Under 19 and Under 21 levels. He made his full international debut in 2006. Hopefully this ends a difficult few months for the likeable player, who has just recovered from a broken ankle.
