Tyson Set For Return Against Leeds
Reds hotshot Nathan Tyson, who has been missing from action for the past four months due to medial ligament damage to his knee, could make a surprise return to first team football against Leeds United at the City Ground tomorrow.
Forest manager Colin Calderwood told the official site. 'Nathan has done three and a half months worth of conditioning work and is closer than anyone could have imagined.' Calderwood said that because of the work he had done previously, there would be no risk in bringing the player back.
Tyson played and scored in the 2-0 reserves win at Millmoor on Tuesday and helped them to the Pontins Championship, but more importantly for the player, he lasted 71 minutes of the game before coming off.
Calderwood has as much as admitted that he will be a substitute when he said. 'I think it will give everyone at the club a lift, especially if he were sat on the bench on Saturday. He would be an exciting weapon to bring on.'
Remember that this game is a 1pm KO and no pubs around the ground are open. Well they might be if you give a gentle knock on the door, worth a try I suppose.
