Clive Clarke - On The Mend

Leicester City's Clive Clarke was said to be 'stable' in hospital today after having a heart attack during the half time interval of last night's Carling Cup tie at the City Ground.

Clarke who is only 27 is currently on loan at the Walkers from Sunderland and collapsed in the dressing room from a heart attack. As the shocked players gathered at the pitch side, paramedics were trying to revive the player who was unconscious. Reports from BBC Radio Nottingham say they had to use a defibrillator to revive him twice.

The game was abandoned with Forest leading 1-0 and the club has urged fans to keep hold of the ticket stubs, as plans for the rearranged game have still to be made. Both clubs are in talks with the Football League to try and sort the matter out.

The latest news on Clarke is that he is sitting up in his hospital bed at the QMC and is in a stable condition. Vital Forest wish him well and a speedy recovery.
