Ticket Prices For Leicester

Looks as though supporters will have to dig into their already empty pockets to see the rearranged 2nd round Carling Cup game with Leicester City on September 18.

Forest had sold the original match tickets at a reduced rate, £16 for adults. But fans wanting to see the rearranged game will now have to return the ticket stub to the club and then pay an extra £5 for another ticket.

The game was abandoned after City player Clive Clarke had a heart attack in the dressing room at half time (probably found out how much it cost to get into the place) and it was agreed by both sides to abandon the game. No argument there and we're all delighted that it seems Clarke is recovering well.

But (and you can call me an old skinflint if you like), it does seem as though the club is milking the cash cow that is us supporters yet again. I know the club has to cover their overheads and pay for policing again, but to me it does not seem fair to have to pay an additional charge. Even if it is a nominal amount.

The club will argue that it is a Football League directive to charge the extra, but I still can't help feeling that I've been fleeced.

This is only my opinion and despite my little rant I shall still go. This was not exactly a game that caught supporters imaginations the first time round and it probably won't the second. I suppose if one thing the first game showed us, is that there are more important things in life than football and that so long as Clive Clarke makes a full recovery we should all be grateful we have the chance to watch a game. Rant over.

Unless that £5 is going to charity then it is an absolute disgrace. I shall not be attending on principle. Money grabbing ********s.

They should donate the proceeds to the Heart Foundation. Couldn't be more apt, in my opinion.

unbelievable. I reckon they should donate some of the money to the heart foundation too.
