'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's Villa In Carling Cup If...

There is of course much work still to be done to get to the third round, but Forest need no other incentive to do well than the thought of a game with Premiership side Aston Villa.

Leicester City stand in the way of Forest coming up against former player Martin O'Neill which will be no easy hurdle to overcome despite the Foxes sacking manager Martin Allen the day after our game.

Villa are currently sitting in 14th place in the Premier League having had an indifferent start to the season, with a defeat a win and a draw. Should Forest make it through to the third round, then the match will be played during the week commencing September 24 at Villa Park. First things first though, as the Reds still have to deal with City on the 18th of this month.

Will Forest make it to the third round? Have your say on the forum now.

It would be nice to play Villa again but to be honest I think we will get edged out by Lester.
