The Man In The Middle - Port Vale

The officials have been announced and Mr. M.J.Jones of Chester gets the job of officiating the game between Port Vale and Nottingham Forest at Vale Park tomorrow.

Last seasons encounter was a feisty affair, that saw Vale's Michael Husbands sent off for a two footed tackle on James Perch. Perch was also booked in the incident, for supposedly time wasting! Even though he went off injured.

Mr. Jones was not in charge that day, but he did take charge of two Reds games last year. They were the 1-1 draw away at Scunthorpe and the 2-0 away win at Cheltenham. Not a bad omen really.

In 41 games last season, Jones dished out 160 yellow cards and 12 red. In the 6 games so far this year he has given 12 yellow, but 0 red.

The other officials for the game are. D.S Bond and A.J.Horton (linesmen) and W.Barratt (4th official).
