Poll Result : Wilson Wins It - Just

Vital Forest asked fans who they thought had been the most impressive player so far this season. It was a close run thing, but new boy Kelvin Wilson won it by a nose, ahead of Sammy Clingan.

The poll had been running for a couple of weeks and early on Clingan was running away with it. But good performances against Port Vale and Leicester City saw Wilson take the lead.

Wilson finished in first place with 31% of the vote, closely followed by Clingan with 27%. Keeper Paul Smith was at one stage ahead in the poll but finished on 11% of the vote along with Luke Chambers.

The results in full are:

Paul Smith 11%
Kelvin Wilson 31%
Luke Chambers 11%
Wes Morgan 2%
James Perch 1%
Kris Commons 2%
Nathan Tyson 2%
Junior Agogo 4%
Grant Holt 1%
Sammy Clingan 27%
Neil Lennon 5%
Brendan Moloney 1%
Julian Bennett 2%
