'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Match Reaction: Gillingham

The after match reactions of both Forest and Gillingham bosses could not have been more different. Whilst Colin Calderwood was full of praise for his side, Gillingham caretaker boss Mick Docherty was fearing the axe after the 4-0 defeat.

Calderwood told the Official Site . 'I couldn't have asked for anything better. It was heartening for me as manager to see how we played with such patience before we scored and with such freedom when we opened our account. I feel a lot of pride for the players because they have continued to try and do what we believe in even though results were not going in our favour.'

He also went on to praise hatrick hero Junior Agogo, who he said had worked hard this year. Agogo was also named in the League 1 team of the week by the Football League.

The Gills camp though was in less buoyant mood as Mick Docherty told the BBC . 'The result obviously hasn't helped the cause of Iffy Onuora and myself. We started brightly but Forest scored the first goal at a crucial time. If we could have kept it 0-0 until the break then maybe it would have turned out differently. But fair play to them - they deserved the win.'
