'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Match Reaction: Yeovil

Forest boss Colin Calderwood was understandably chuffed to bits with the 3-0 win away at Yeovil on Saturday, but readily admits it wasn't one of their better performances. That would echo the views of fans who watched the game. A win is a win though and that was the third in a row.

Calderwood told the Official Site . 'The turning point of the game was the first goal from set play. Up until then it was scrappy and our play was untidy. It was a tremendous result, but not a wonderful performance as our basics were poor on many occasions. We caused our own problems, but people will remember the final 30 minutes and two tremendous goals. The momentum we now have will give us a psychological advantage over other teams in the division.'

There's no doubting that results of the last fortnight have sounded a warning shot to the rest of League 1, that this season Forest mean business. It's beginning to look like we may be turning a corner and that after three long miserable years there is light at the end of the tunnel. Still early days and a long way to go, but the future certainly looks a lot brighter than this time last year.
