Someone Tell Danns We Don't Need Him

The latest news in the 'Neil Danns is on his way to the City Ground' saga, is that Brum manager Steve Bruce has apparently turned down a proposed loan move.

For almost a year now the message boards have been alive with rumours and counter rumours of Danns either signing or coming in on loan. Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce today told Sky Sports News . ''Neil won't be going on loan after the injury to Oubina,' Bruce said. I thought that arguably he was our best player in the Carling Cup tie at Blackburn and he gives us another option, especially with the injury to Oubina.'

Whilst at Colchester Danns was one of the hottest properties in this League. But since making the step up, he's hardly figured in Bruces' plans, other than in the Carling Cup matches to give more established players a break.

There's no denying that we wanted him at one stage and that the player has turned us down on more than one occasion. But why on earth would we want him now with the depth and quality we have in that department? To be honest I would rather have a player who wanted regular first team football and not someone who seems content picking up his wages whilst sitting on the sidelines. I think it's time for Colin to tell Brum, thanks but no thanks we aren't interested and to be quite frank, we have better. Sorry Neil, we don't need you and after being so dismissive of us, I don't think we want you either.

Could not agree more - we do not need him anymore and he clearly does not want to sign for us. Please let it go Forest for the love of god!
