'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Calderwood - 'Big Game, Big Result'

Colin Calderwood was understandably upbeat after the Reds 2-1 victory over Hartlepool on Saturday. It was a hard fought game and either side could have won it, but thanks to a late goal by Junior Agogo it was Forest who bagged the points.

Calderwood told Forest World . 'It was edgy and tight, but it was also excellent fayre for any division. It was a proper game of football, they looked like they were posing a threat to us and it looked like we we're going to be disappointed. But the boys were very patient, kept going and I've really enjoyed their performance today.'

Calderwood conceded that they had to work hard for the result and praised Hartlepool for their football and admitted that they will be a force in the division this year. He went on to say that this was a big game and a big result.

Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson was not so happy with the result, feeling his side had done enough to get a draw. Not many would argue with that. It is though, testament to the improvements made by the Reds this season in that last year we would have probably been turned over in games like this. Next up for Forest is an away game at Cheltenham where they will be expected to pick up all three points again. With all due respect to them, they should not be as much of a problem as Pools were and anything less than maximum points will be classed as disappointment.
