'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Latest News From The City Ground

The good news from the City Ground today is that Forests' Sammy Clingan and Junior Agogo will be available to play in the weekend fixture at Cheltenham Town.

It was thought that both would have to link up with their respective international setups beforehand and miss the game. Ghana's game with Jamaica has been cancelled, which frees up Agogo and Clingan has been given special leave to play by the N.Irish FA. Forest could have had the game called off, but decided to go ahead with the game to avoid fixture congestion.

In other news, Lucky Leeds United made a double swoop in picking up the monthly player and manager awards. Keeper Ankergren and manager Wise being the recipients and in the process beating Agogo and Calderwood into the bargain.

Reserve team captain Alan Power has been called up to the Rep' Ireland U21's for the first time. He will be in the reserves who face Bradford at Valley Parade tonight, as they endeavour to make it 6 wins out of six.

And finally, former loan signing Alan Wright has joined the Reds next opponents Cheltenham on a non contract basis. He was released by Sheffield United in the summer and deserves a warm reception from the Forest faithful for all that he did during his short stay on Trentside.
