'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Honest Appraisal From Calderwood

Colin Calderwood is a man that normally sees the positives in the most dire of circumstances, but the manner of the defeat against Luton Town has for once seen him condemn the players for their efforts, or lack of.

He told the official site. 'The team that played better won...we made too many individual mistakes, we didn't make the right decisions and we didn't compete.'

That's the equivalent to him blowing a gasket and as close as supporters will ever come to hearing him criticise his players and fair play to him. Too often he backs them when they should be vilified and hung out to dry. As bad as the performance was at Kenilworth Road we shouldn't be panicking just yet. If he can get his message across and make them realise their mistakes he can get us back on track.

He went on to say. 'I am very angry, this is a real kick up the backside and a lesson for us.' Fans will be glad to hear that and will not have long to wait for them to rectify matters, as we have the first of three home games against Oldham on Tuesday night and we owe them one for sure.
