Brian Clough Trophy Game Raised 100k

The inaugural game for the Brian Clough Trophy took the role of a pre season friendly at Pride Park back in July. The game was won by Derby who were easy 2-0 winners on the day.

The aim of the fixture was always to raise cash for local charities and both clubs achieved their goal in reaching the 100,000 mark.

Forest have said they want 25,000 to go to the Dannielle Beccan Memorial Trust and hope the the Great Mans' widow Barbara presents the cheque at a forthcoming home game.

Derby are to split their 25,000 donation between ten designated charities. Both clubs agreed to give 12,500 to the East Midlands Air Ambulance.

Although the night was a poor one from a Forest football perspective, at least some good came from it.
