Brian Clough Trophy Game Raised 100k
The inaugural game for the Brian Clough Trophy took the role of a pre season friendly at Pride Park back in July. The game was won by Derby who were easy 2-0 winners on the day.
The aim of the fixture was always to raise cash for local charities and both clubs achieved their goal in reaching the £100,000 mark.
Forest have said they want £25,000 to go to the Dannielle Beccan Memorial Trust and hope the the Great Mans' widow Barbara presents the cheque at a forthcoming home game.
Derby are to split their £25,000 donation between ten designated charities. Both clubs agreed to give £12,500 to the East Midlands Air Ambulance.
Although the night was a poor one from a Forest football perspective, at least some good came from it.
