Fans Say- McLaren Out

England grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory last night at home to Croatia, in a 3-2 defeat that cost them a place at next summers Euro Championships.

The spineless jobsworths at the FA have called a meeting in London this morning where they will hopefully give McLaren the boot. It was an appointment few wanted in the first place, but he was groomed as a yes man to the bigwigs and the job was his as soon as Sven went.

Fans have been critical and faithless of McLaren from day one and he has rarely given them reason to think otherwise. The message boards were filled with some vitriolic posts last night in the aftermath of the defeat.

Drum said. 'Bigger picture doesn't make things any easier to take either...we were in a VERY weak group even if you take tonights performance out of the equation...time for a new manager for sure.'

Lordyred kept it short and sweet. 'McLoser won't even do the decent thing and stand down.'

trentendandy was a little more vociferous saying. 'Did anyone actualy want Mctw@t in the first place, apart from the FA? Poor is an understatement. Lampard could not give a sh*te but Barry could, who looses? Next tosser/manager to be appointed by the fools is? Mourinho wants it give it to him, he has dealt with primadonas and tells them they are no good. Will say that nothing got past old man Sol. Lescott is poor and more so Brige.'

Will they sack him and who will the next man be? Have your say on the forum today.

From the top down the English game needs a revamp. Brian Barthwick should seriously consider his position – I don’t dispute the next manager appointed should be paid an attractive wage to ensure we get the right person but the contract must reflect his performance – ie should be based on the tournaments for which we wish to qualify. What is the point of a four year contract when a final comes around every two? They only need to be two year max with additional incentives for reaching finals and progressing. We are now in the ludicrous position of a Manager who is an abject failure walking away with a pay off. A pay off so handsome that he refused to do the honourable thing and resign. This is the fans money – my money, your money! We buy the tickets and the kits for extortionate amounts it’s not right that a greedy failure like Mclaren should walk away with bags of the stuff. It may even mean that we have some cash left to lay a decent pitch at Wembley which looked more like Glastonbury.
