Tyson Injury Fears Confirmed

Forest striker Nathan Tyson got the bad news today that we had all been fearing, in that the injury sustained in the 2-0 win over Port Vale is as bad as feared.

Scans have revealed that Tyson has a tear to his hamstring and that he will miss the remaining Christmas and New Year fixtures.

Colin Calderwood told the official site. 'He's got a tear in his hamstring, but the good news is that it's in an area that heals quickly. It will rule him out of the Christmas and New Year games, but we're hoping that by the time we play Leyton Orient (Jan 12) he'll be very, very close to returning.'

That means he's set to miss at least another three games in a crucial part of the season. Agogo, as we all know is away in January for the ACON tournament and will mean we only have Holt and Dobie as recognised strikers. Sinclair is still injured, so the strikeforce looks threadbare.

We now live in hope that it's not as bad as we are told by the club, because if he's out any longer our situation will become desperate. This will no doubt speed up the club's search for that much awaited new striker. The bad news on that front is it doesn't look as though it will be Billy Sharp, as he looks set to join Championship Wolves.

Thats a big blow to your team. You look a completely different team when he's playing and you will miss his pace.
