Colin Calderwood is a positive man and even after the 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Gillingham on Saturday he remains the same.
Calderwood told the BBC. 'We have been hurt by missing chances and the scoreline is not a true reflection of the game. We had five golden opportunities to score but didn't take them, and we suffered because of that. We had a great chance when we were 1-0 down and taking it would have put a different complexion on the game.'
Forest did indeed have chances to win the game, but the cold hard facts are we didn't. There were also two costly errors in the game from Smith and the normally dependable Wilson that didn't help our cause, but this was a game supporters expected us to win.
No one I've spoken to that went to the game begrudge the Gills the points. According to them it was a deserved win and the best team on the day won. Forest need to get back to winning ways and stay in touch with leaders Swansea. They can do that with a win on Tuesday, by getting all three points at home to Huddersfield.
