Is Sinclair The New Striker?

Forest striker Emile Sinclair looked to be a big part of Calderwood's plans this season, after playing in most of the pre season friendlies. But after failing to get a regular starting place in the first team, he was sent out on loan to Brentford.

He returned earlier this week after making four appearances for the London club, three of them from the bench. That might suggest that he didn't quite set the place alight during his spell there, but they were troubled times at Brentford where manager Terry Butcher eventually lost his job.

Ahead of the January transfer window opening Calderwood said he hoped to have a new striker in by the time the Orient game came around. That game is on Saturday and so far no striker has been signed. Does that mean that Sinclair will be asked to fill the boots of the clubs top scorer Junior Agogo, now that he's away at the African Cup Of Nations?

That would be a huge burden to put on the 20 year old and probably a bit much to ask for one so inexperienced, especially at such a crucial stage of the season. He did score twice in the reserve game against WBA the other night, which may give some confidence to him but I'm not so sure it will instill the same confidence in the fans.

Will we get that striker in before the O's game? Have your say on the forum.

Inexperienced 20 year old? - correct me if I'm wrong & I know there is a big difference in class/ability but how old was Rooney/Own etc playing for England, look at Arsenal's young side etc - at 20 he should be running through brick walls & in his prime! We do need another striker, but we need one that is prepared to play left wing, right wing & in a rotational system! Wonder if Dobbin will leave in the window?
