Desperate For Danns

It seems as though Forest just won't take no for an answer and will get there man come what may. Birmingham City's Neil Danns is top of the most wanted list and if the forums are to be believed, then we will get our man.

According to some sources it's a done deal and he's about to be announced as the clubs latest signing. It won't be for the lack of trying, as he's flatly turned us down twice. But the powers that be see the attacking midfielder as an essential part of the clubs promotion plans.

Quotes from the forum say that it's just a matter of sorting out the finer details. Chilwell Red said. 'My source, which has been reliable in the past believes Danns will sign for us & that the problem is actually a loyalty bonus with him & Birmingham i.e. Neil believes City should pay up as he hasn't asked to leave the club. This is apparently what is holding the deal up.' Sounds feasible.

Opinion on whether we should sign him is divided. Loughborough Red is in favour and says. 'Don't really blame him for not wanting to come, and lets face it, he'd be an excellent signing.'

Others are concerned that it may be the signal that Commons is on his way. Mossy35 said. 'If and its a big if Danns did sign, I wouldn't be surprised if that was a catalyst for Commons to move on whilst we can get some dosh for him. My thinking being it would mean Cohen could switch to the left with Danns being the natural replacement for him in the middle.'

There is no doubt that Danns is a quality midfielder and would be a great addition to the squad, but will his heart be at the City Ground and will he give 100% to the cause?

I've just bumped into him buying a new 3 piece suite at DFS

Does that mean he's signing for Darley Dale FC, Matlock, Derby, Chesterfield???? Oh no, have we missed out again, perhaps Chesterfield threw that in as part of the deal?
Our Kids Dad
Forest have been keen on this bloke for ages, but he hasn't played a competitive game for a while - so he's probably got more ring rust than Audrey Harrison!

Just seen him in the TBI drinking Malibu & pineapple

Really, was he wearing Justin Fashanu's old Pink Blazer?
