Moloney On Loan To Spireites

If the Spireites gain promotion from League 2 this year, they will have alot to thank Nottingham Forest for, as Brendan Moloney follows in the footsteps of Felix Bastians and becomes the second player this season to join the club on loan.

Bastians has just finished a three month stint at the League 2 club where he made 13 appearances before going out on loan again to Notts.

Moloney (19) is an Irish U21 international and has made 2 first team appearances for the Reds. Last year he was named Young Player of the Year for the Academy and is tipped for a great future in the game.

You have to feel for the guy, because he deserves his chance and is just about ready for the step up, but he has a hard job on his hands to displace those already established in the first team. Although he prefers the right back position, he can play center half or in midfield. The experience will do him good though and we may get the benefit of his chance at first team football.
