'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Arthur Fires A Warning Shot

The pressure on Forest manager Colin Calderwood has been mounting in recent weeks, especially in the wake of the abysmal away form the team is showing. The criticism from fans reached fever pitch this week after the 2-0 defeat away at Bournemouth.

That defeat led for calls for not only the managers' head, but also for Arthur and Chairman Nigel Doughty's. This has led Forest CEO Mark Arthur to come out with some tough talking and he fired a warning shot towards Calderwood.

Arthur told BBC Radio Nottingham. 'Colin has a job to do and that's to get us promotion and we hope he achieves that. We'll review that in the summer. It's unfair to make any predictions at this moment, we are in fourth, we have a game in hand on the team in second and the next 18 matches are going to be very telling.'

Forest have two very important matches in the coming week, starting with Millwall at home on Saturday and then Lucky Leeds away on Tuesday. Calderwood needs maximum points to win back the fans. If he can achieve that, then he has a good chance of getting this season back on track and ensuring he stays in a job.

I'm glad that this has been done, it shows that CC is aware of the precarious nature of his position & the expectations for him & this team!

If they fail again Arthurs head should be on the block too. After all he has been part of the Manager selection process.
