Nottingham Forest Manager, Billy Davies, has tonight threatened to quit the 3rd placed Championship club.

Billy has threatened to quit unless sweeping changes are made to the acquisition panel. (as reported earlier in the week on here)

The panel failed to land a single player that was identified to them by manager Billy Davies. It is thought that Billy presented a list of 9 players to the panel in the January transfer window, all with "pay up to" values.


Billy is incensed by the clubs lack of ambition after promising him a 11 million warchest at the start of the season.

Prior to his appointment, Billy knew the position regarding the panel and was happy for them to negotiate transfers on his behalf and identify players to him through Forests vast scouting network. What Bily wasn't told was that they were completely inept and often relied on Nigel Doughty to conclude business.

Billy now feels that his position is untenable and is at such a low point that he has tonight offered an ultimatum to Nigel Doughty and Mark Arthur.

One of the main protagonists in this farce (ALLEGEDLY) is one of our own members

How can any Vital member affect the outcome of backoffice dealings unless they're in the back office.

I understand the issues, the lack of signings etc, and also see why Billy is so pissed off, but not how Vital people can affect it, not as a fan base.

The plot thickens, but I suggest they at the CG have a rethink about what they want as Billy is the best manager they've had in years.

I dont think its helpful for BD to keep airing his concerns in the media. We need to pull together, what we have is what we have, despite his quotes about the loan market I'm pretty sure we will add 2 quality players next week

WMD is being honest (at last) in interviews with the media, the team are the form side of the CCC, We have money spend (shame we can't spend it but that has been done to death already), we have a good history of loans, we have a great mix of youth and experince, were very safe in a play off position, 2nd is still with in touching distance, we can win ugly and pretty, we have plans to move grounds, we have a lot of local players and almost everyone plays for the shirt almost all of the time and still people are forking moaning

Whether or not Banger is correct - this statement is coming from the guy who posted "Michael Owen" to Nottingham Forest less than a week a go, with no source or even any substance.

A few people on Vital actually have contacts within the CG, it's why the info is usually accurate.
