I've got some ideas for your next headline (some will need substantiating)

POSH TRY AND PULL A FAST ONE ON FOREST
MCANTHONY"S PLAN TO OFFLOAD BOYD BACKFIRES
BOYD ATTEMPTS TO HIDE MEDICAL CONDITION FROM FOREST
FAWAZ SEES MCANTHONY COMING
THOROUGH FOREST SAY NO
MCANTHONY STITCHES UP HIS OWN PLAYER, REVEALS DETAILS OF MEDICAL CONDITION

You should at least try and hide your bias a bit. :22:

I'm actually bring some balance. The only one that would need substantiating is whether the medical problem was disclosed.

The rest is fact!

So why doesn't Fawaz come out and explain it all then ?

Maybe he will in due time, why does if have to be now... maybe he is taking legal advice... I doubt he wants to come out and say

George Boyd, blind as a fooking butchers dog ...

Problem is, Peterborough are run by lying, gobby shits who love media attention because that's the only way they can get it. AND people who lap that up are their prime targets ie You... another person who wants to grab attention.

Why not wait for Fawaz before mouthing off? Could you not resist logging on here to gloat?

But fry said Amc still wanted to buy the player?
so have they employed a manager whos judgement they dont trust?

Yes I'm sure he did, that is why they bid for him but Amc is not paying his wages for the next 3 1/2 years with which there is a potential problem.

AMc is a football manager, not an eye specialist. They went for the player just like he asked, they agreed a deal with the player, just like he asked.

He then failed the medical.

Forest is not desperate, they are not in a relegation battle they are rebuilding. Time is on the clubs side and there is no need to buy players who may, in the future not be able to play at the level required.

So they do not trust our iconic managers judgement?so soon after hiring him

I've watched Boyd for years and he has never had an eye problem. It's the weakest excuse for not signing someone I've ever heard. If anyone actually believes it they are mental.
As for him not being the quality we need, what a load of rubbish, he is as talented a player as you will find in this league and a model pro to boot. He has been the star player in a very poor team and hits double figures in goals nearly every year, something our midfield haven't done for a long time. He is a much better player than Burke, who everyone has been raving about since we were linked with.
I would much rather have signed him than give Dex a 4.5 year contract if I'm honest!

1 - They need the cash now because he will walk for nowt....
2 - Who says another club wouldn't have picked this up?

Everyone assumes that all other clubs would say.. yeah come here George, take 20k per week no matter what...

Because Forest are not at liberty to disclose the results of Boyd's medical results.
To do so would be a breach of confidentiality between doctor and patient.
Any disclosure could harm Boyd.
I find it disgraceful enough that Posh Chairman took it upon himself to tell everyone while he grabbed the limelight and got his 15 seconds on SKY, beamed around the world.

If you can prove that Alex McLeish is a medical expert and could guarantee the health of Boyd, then id take your view... BUT its not upto McLeish. He might want to sign a 1 legged donkey, would you take that? Or would you take the opinion of medical experts who would say to you... " a 1 legged donkey is better off down the glue factory"

We are not talking about peanuts or a loan deal here.. we are talking about putting 3million quid on our books during the era of FFP.

What can Fawaz possibly say ? The crux of the matter is how serious is the defect ? If its something like Glaucoma or a detached retina then possibly Fawaz was correct in pulling the plug. If however he can't read a newspaper from 500 yards (and who can) then the decision would look suspect. Due to patient confidentiality he can't disclose whether its the former or the latter. Therefore what could he possibly say, that we didn't already know.

I used to think that jom had rose tinted glasses on

There will come a day when even mcjo, mr dan and doughnut see through the charade as well

When that happens fawaz is pretty much fooked

It will happen the pattern will continue or they will just retreat and leave us to pick up pieces

I don't wear glasses any more, had the laser treatment years ago. Can see clearly now :)

I remember what a bugger it was trying to see and connect with the high balls whistling through the air when playing evening games though.

I think that sums up most of the current threads quite nicely.
