Bit of a slight for our medical staff.
And for the record Matt, there were plenty of supporters hoping to see you back.
Your career has finished, sure. But you got bloody well paid and you're not exactly on the scrap heap or homeless like a lot of folk these days. Get over it man.

I shudder to think how many tens of thousands of pounds Fryatt has cost us per appearance.

If he is on a very modest 15k a week for example, then that would mean he's cost us upwards of £50k per appearance, not taking into account any juicy singing-on fees and bonuses.

We really need to start negotiating injury release clauses into to the contracts of these serial crocks we keep insisting on signing.

If you ever suffered a work related injury would you like it if your employer followed your dictum and didn't pay you through your recovery period? Perhaps you'd employ one of those law firms who advertise on the TV to secure you millions in compensation.
The injury wasn't his fault. Why have a go at him, even indirectly?

Edited due to the fact I'm showing my incompetance by responding to messages two years old?

Fryatt has now officially retired. Woanz was only 18-months out ffs

This is exactly why good people don’t share info on here anymore because of bastart SNERTS such as yourself spreading their vile vile poison against anyone who posts ANYTHING in good faith. I for one care not a jot as how many games has Mr Fryatt played in that TIME? let’s see if you’ll answer THAT after all you’re a GROWN man on here 24/7 I doubt very MUCH you’ll have the nerve though, you shitehawks are all the same. Toodlepip.

ill never forget when Steve Wigley said "1 to 2 weeks out" for Andy Reid live on radio. probably one of the worst diagnosis in sporting memory.

Very fair comment he also did not choose this injury & granted while we paid him there’d have been insurance & we’ve wasted thousands paying off conetracts for people unwilling or unable to put a shift in.

I thought it was a very well written article and that Matty Fryatt came out of it in a good light. He has every right to complain if Montanier never even contacted him - but then he was hardly a good man-manager. I get really annoyed at folk on here who blame the player for getting injured. I bet the same people shout out at games "get stuck in"! We have a duty to look after staff wo are injured during their employment with us.

I have read the article and don't like the tone set by Matt Fryatt. If the journalist has not spun it in this anti Forest manner and they are indeed the words of the player this is very poor. Fryatt presumably has received his salary in full and by his own admission has received top class private medical care paid for by the club, he complains of lack of contact from the club and one manager in particular, so what? He seems to have a chip on his shoulder which I don't think he is entitled to have given the circumstances. Why did he not take this opportunity to show Forest and its then owner in a good light? he at least owes us that much. He goes into the world of employment a reasonably fit young man who has been (if he is sensible) set up for life financially by the club he seems not to have a good word for.

I suspect that because he played so few games for us he never properly settled in and so felt a bit isolated and not an established and valued player like say Cohen or Reid were. I agree the club could possibly have done more too.

But, you get out of life what you put in. Was it not too much trouble for him to attempt to get to the odd home game, pop in the changing room to offer encouragement etc etc, visit the kids in hospital at Christmas etc etc? He might argue that no-one at the club asked, required or expected him to do that and I'm sure that if he had and PM didn't want him around he would've had a quiet word. But, 3 years taking a large salary without doing what you've been employed to do - I think most employees in a similar position would've made some kind of effort, even if it were not their fault they were injured.

He's shown poor judgement all around.

Is that AdebolaCornflakes and his jbacsta account commenting on Fatty Fryup? Not that I CARE one jot. I have them both placed firmly on ignore, and look forward to his exasperated wiffle waffle from his Toms and OKD accounts when Karanka opens his war chest

The implication is the care was far from top class, which extends beyond surgery anyway.

I didn't get the idea that the medical care wasn't top class but that's only my impression. Do you know otherwise? If so then that's a different matter and he has a gripe. However, if it had been me and given that I was being paid how much? I would have got a second or even third opinion. I just think he is having a moan , and why go to the press to do it anyway?

" Flown all over the world to have surgery" Quote by the player. I assume the inference is that he was seen by quality men thought to be better than anyone in the UK and we have some top lads. It didn't work, surgery is like that trust me, but why slag the club off?

Sure there are some "top" lads but there are better lads in other parts of the world and sportsment will seek out the best. Why settle for second or third best?

He wasn't slagging of the club at all. He was stating how he felt at the time and that my firend is his and everyones elses entitlement.
