Old Red Fart - 28/1/2018 11:25

England win by 12 runs in an exciting game.

5 wickets to Curren who bowled very well.

Small may not be quite International standard yet but he's not short of guts.

This is a game which I fully expected Oz to win.

Only followed it on BBC text, but they needed 24 off 3 overs. It was clear wickets were needed, but when Ball went for a 6 and a 4 it looked like we had thrown it away. Ball has been disappointing on this tour.

Ball was definitely unwell in fact very close to collapsing at one time. but he refused to leave the field.
That's what I meant by not short of guts.

That's about the best game I've seem for a long time, just a pity we didn't win it !

And I noticed that in the Indian 20 over games that Stokes is the top earner, over 2 million Oz dollars. Different strokes for different folks.

Those T20 games don't do much for me, in fact I don't watch them at all but my wife thinks they're great so she'll keep me informed I expect. Whether I like it or not !

It's interesting that Root didn't handle the 50 Over games as Captain and now talk is on Smith maybe giving up the Captaincy of the One Day games as well. Perhaps we do expect too much, these blokes are only human. Must say though that this particular series has been great to watch and I've enjoyed it even though we lost. Mind you England remains my second choice always.

Could do worse.

Am I right in assuming that we're going to beat Preston tomorrow ?

As always with Forest, Assume nothing, expect the worst, but hope for the best. Depends which Forest team decide to turn up.

Ashes all over for a couple of years. I've enjoyed posting and hope some of you got a bit of something out of it. Perhaps more cricket followers on here than I thought.

Maybe one of you could do the same from your end next time.

My wife tells me that we scuppered you in the 20 over rubbish. Not my cup of tea !
