all over, you've done it again. No doubt in my mind England are a good one day side, we are not.

Not only a good side but a good captain as well. I thought today you had it pretty well won from early on and your finish was terrific, something we could not match. Exciting to watch but depressing from my point of view.

Well done. Again.

Next game Adelaide I think next Friday and Perth on Sunday after.

10.30 at night here and I have to think about dinner, wife away for a few days, I might just think about another glass and just go to bed !

Sounds a good idea to me ORF, as everything will seem better in the morning as usual England Even more impressive today given the position they were in when batting, but particularly given the injury to Plunkett which must have left the bowling plans in tatters, but Morgan really is on top of the job and the other bowlers responded really well. Probably the moment Smith was given out was the pivotal moment, a bit controversial but as the on field umpires had signaled out not much that could be done. A good weekend all in all as excellent display from Forest as well.

I'm trying to concentrate more on Forest and that excellent win than one day cricket. Must agree that Morgan is an excellent one day captain and I'd temporally forgotten about Plunketts injury. I knew that we'd never be able to match the last few England batting overs. Very exciting to watch .

Even so I live in hope and Adelaide is my favourite ground so roll on Friday.

That rule that ended Smiths inniings has always seemed a bit odd to me, I reckon where there's that much doubt ( as in this case ) the result should be left to the off field umpire. Not that it would have affected the result of the game though.

There's nothing like a losing streak to get some folk started. It seems that Smith, last week possibly the best batsman in the world, is a bit suspect this week as we lose another one day game. Cricket supporters appear to be no different to football supporters,it doesn't seem to matter to some that we have a mid order batting problem, nor that the selectors can't seem to get the bowlers right, all thus throwing more problems onto Smiths back. And he's still very much a learner. It looks to me that this situation may well be affecting his captaincy and I'm beginning to feel as sorry for him as I did for Joe Root in the Ashes series. And it's obvious how Joe is playing so much better with a winning team and being relieved of the captaincy.

All this started off with a lengthy article in one of our papers, just about par for the course.

I'd love it if he gets it right in the next couple of games, it would give me great satisfaction to have a go at that paper. On the other hand I might have to learn how to keep my trap shut !

Next game tomorrow in Adelaide and we're badly overdue for a win. Your side doesn't need to change unless Plunkett is still injured and I think we're still buggering about with our selection.

Doesn't bode well. But as usual I live in hope.

Plunkett, some talk of resting Woakes & Jake Ball getting a go. It was only the other day in papers over here Woakes was saying that the prospect Of a 5-0 win was all the motivation the players needed, now it seems he may be rested. Anyway looking forward to the game.

England batting, 4 runs for 3 wickets.

Roy, Hales and Bairstow all out to our fast bowlers. There's just a bit of life in the pitch.

Now 6 runs for 4 wickets, Root out.

Looks as though we may have found our mojo,

All over, Oz win by 3 wickets. Quite a tight game though, Paine the only Oz player to do any good with the bat.

Next match at the new Perth Ground, holds 60,000 and it's been sold out for weeks. On Sunday just 2 days away. I think there's a 3 hour time difference with Sydney so I'll have to check that out.
