Your Boys made hard work of that ORF, particularly given the fact that they had the best of conditions having won Toss & Put England in. Strange how these low scoring games can be just as tense as the runfests we are used to nowadays. Concentrate on the football until Sunday then off we go again at the new ground in Perth isn't it

It sure was hard work and the result very much in doubt. Excellent game to watch and I think more interesting because of the low scores. Had it not been for our use of fast bowlers on an helpful wicket for the first hour I reckon the result would have been even tighter and the result could have gone the other way. Anyway it's about time we won one, our form has been pretty miserable up to this.

Perth is 3 hours behind Sydney, 3 hours nearer the UK that is.

Can't make my mind up about the Hull match, if our new manager can instill a bit of motivation it will help.

The manager clearly was unable to instill any motivation, and instead allowed complacency to creep in following last weeks good effort. 1st Half back to the good old Warburton / Montanier Kamikaze defending. Bit better 2 nd half pulled 1 back late on hit the woodwork a couple of times, but then so did Hull, and they had far more chances. Think Karanka will be able to see now what the size of the job before him is

England batting and killing us so far. Roy and Bairstow opening, 65 after 8 overs.

Roy caught out early only for Starc to find out it was a no ball, foot over the line.

97 for 1, Roy out for 49, but it's looking easy, very fast out field so should be an high scoring game.

157 for 4 after 28.3 overs Roy, Bairstow, Root and Morgan out.

Looks as though we're pulling you back a bit. Hope that hasn't put the mokkers on it.

259 all out.
Tye took 5 wickets, mostly with sucker balls.

A bit poor for your lot, only managed 47.4 overs and after a great start too.

If you remember ORF when Curran was called up to test squad as replacement for Finn I told you he had a bit about him, not the quickest or the biggest but definitely a competitor. I believe he is the son of the old South African All rounder Curran (can't remember his 1st name) who used to play county cricket over here. Both brothers are competitors I think the other one Sam is a left arm bowler

197 for 7, Curren doing the damage.

Looks to me that it's all over bar the shouting.

Smith has definitely lost his mojo for the moment.

England win by 12 runs in an exciting game.

5 wickets to Curren who bowled very well.

Small may not be quite International standard yet but he's not short of guts.

This is a game which I fully expected Oz to win.
