Doncaster Rovers vs. Nottingham Forest

Keepmoat Stadium

Basement Battle For Forest

Colin Calderwood will be hoping to ease the mounting pressure on him with a win at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday night, as the Reds' take on fellow basement boys Doncaster Rovers.

Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll has found the adjustment to life in the Championship equally as hard as Calderwood and is himself under pressure to get results. Donny sit a point and a place above us in the league and go into the game on the back of a credible 0-0 draw away to Burnley at the weekend.

Forest of course have the difficult job of rasing themselves, following the abject performance against Norwich on Saturday. Most fans have now run out of patience with CC and it could turn out to be an uncomfortable night if he gets anything less than a win. We now sit firmly placed at the bottom, six points adrift of safety. Something has to change and it has to change at Donny, either with a win, or with the managers' resignation.

The form guide shows that Rovers have won 2, drawn 3 and lost 4 at home, whilst the Reds' have won 1, drawn 4 and lost 4 away. It has the makings of a tense and nervous affair, with both sides needing the win.

Vital Quotes:

Doncaster Rovers Team News:

Check later for updates

Player to watch: Gareth Taylor

He'll probably be on the bench, but could come on to haunt us. Never the most poular at the City Ground and has yet to score for his new club in 8 appearances. He has picked up one yellow card though.

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Earnshaw will probably be missing, after knackering himself again in the warm up on Saturday, as will Bennett and the Moose. No one seems to know what has happened to Fletcher, the club is awfully quiet on his whereabouts and fitness.

Player to watch: Luke Chambers

I urge anyone who thinks this guy can play, to watch his game closely. He gets left for dead by most forwards in this division and is a constant worry at the back.

Match Facts & Stats

We haven't beaten Donny since 2006, when we got a 2-1 victory at the old Belle Vue. But, in 24 league meetings, we've won 13, drawn 6 and lost 5. Last time at the Keepmoat it was a Godawful performae, that saw us lose 1-0.

Match Prediction:

Donny to win 1-0. Sorry.

Next Fixtures:

Barnsley at home. Saturday, 29 November, 2008. KO 3pm.
