Nottingham Forest vs. Doncaster Rovers

City Ground

26/12/08

3pm

Forest v Rovers: Preview

Forest take on Doncaster Rovers at the City Ground today, for yet another relegation 6 pointer. Victory over the Championships' basement club will give the Reds' their first back to back wins of the season and hopefully take them out of the drop zone for the first time since September (depending on how Southampton do at Plymouth).

Rovers sit just three points below us in the table and have only won once in their last 8 games. Last time out Rovers went down 1-0 to Wolves, whilst Forest got a 2-0 win at fellow strugglers Southampton.

Vital Quotes:

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Nathan Tyson missed the Saints game through illness and should be available for this one. James Perch returns, after serving his one match ban. Lewis McGugan could also start now he has recovered from a thigh injury.

Player to watch: Joe Garner

Looks to be finding the form that saw us shell out just over a million quid for him in the summer.

Doncaster Rovers Team News:

Sean O'Driscoll has a few injury concerns ahead of the game. Richie Wellens (virus) and Brian Stock (calf) will both face late fitness tests to see if they will be available. Adam Lockwood (mouth), Jason Price and James Coppinger (both ankle) should make it in time.

Player to watch: James Coppinger

He's caused us a few problems in recent years and always seems to have his best games against us. The attacking midfielder doesn't score many, but he will be instrumental in everything his side does.

Match Facts & Stats

The two sides have met 25 times in the League, with Forest winning 13, drawing 7 and losing 5. Earlier this season it ended 0-0 at the Keepmoat.

Ref Watch:

Prem ref Phil Dowd takes charge of this one.

Match Prediction:

1-1. No good to either side.

Next Fixtures:

Norwich (a). 28/12/08. KO 3pm.
