Foxes v Forest Match Preview

Forest travel to Leicester this weekend for a fixture I'm not entirely sure how i feel about, Forest have lost their last four away games 1 - 0 but absolutely hammered Leicester in the corresponding fixture earlier this season. Although no one match will dictate the final league positions, Forest do need to get their away form back on track if they are to have any chance of staying in the top 2 & the sooner they get that away form back the better chance they have.

Vital Quotes:

A winaway, a winaway, a winaway, a winaway, in the jungle, the Foxes jungle

Leicester City Team News:

Leicester have no new injury worries but leading goal scorer Matt Fryatt is ruled out with a broken jaw

Player to watch: Martyn Waghorn

The on loan striker has taken over the mantle of goal scorer in Fryatt's absence & now has 7 league goals & 3 assists in 28 appearances.

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Gareth McCleary will miss his final game of a 3 match suspension for this game & Julian Bennett is set to miss at least the majority of this season if not all of it while Brendan Moloney has already been ruled out for the season. Forest are otherwise in good health though and it just remains to be seen if Billy Davies will change the personnel to help keep some of the players fresh.

Player to watch: Chris Cohen

Forest's reigning player of the season has really stepped up to the mark in recent weeks, enough to be nominated for the player of the month award.

Match Facts & Stats

Forest & Leicester have met 89 times now in league competition and it's been incredibly close over the years with Forest taking 34 wins, just one behind Leicester on 35 with a further 20 games drawn. Forest have though outscored this weekends opponents by 142 goals to the foxes 129.

Forest are on a 4 match away losing run including the FA Cup defeat to Birmingham while Leicester are on a 6 match unbeaten home run & it could be a day for the defences with Forest having the Championships best away defence having conceded just 11 goals away from the City Ground in the league while Leicester have kept 7 clean sheets at The Walkers Stadium & only conceded 13 times there this season.

Ref Watch:

Lee Probert of Wiltshire will take charge of this game, he was the referee when forest registered their last away win back on the 8th of January at West Brom. He will be assisted by Andy Garratt of West Midlands and Stephen Artis of Norfolk Fourth Official Darren Deadman of Cambridgeshire

Match Prediction:

I can't see more than one goal in this game & the a goalless draw probably wouldn't surprise anyone, but both teams will be desperate for 3 points so it's really just a case of who that single goal goes to, I'll be brave & say Forest will walk away with their 3rd consecutive 1 - 0 win.
