Reading Team News:

Former Forest target Matt Mills hopes to be back in contention for this game after twisting his ankle against Scunthorpe on the opening day on the season & Jay Tabb could also return after suffering a similar problem. Shane Long is also a doubt with a hip injury. Chris Armstrong will miss out only having just got back to full training as has Ivar Ingimarsson.

Player to watch: Gylfi Sigurdsson:

16 goals last term & a further 9 assists from 37 games made him Readings star player & he's continued in the same form this season having already scored on the opening day & also created their goal against Portsmouth to earn the Royals a point. At just 21 years of age, this lad could have a great career in the game.

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Forest have no new injury worries for this fixture with only long term injury victim David McGoldrick missing out with a dislocated shoulder. Chris Gunter though start his suspension after the stamping incident against Leeds.

Player to watch: Rob Earnshaw:

He's yet to get off the mark this season but having hit the post in both league games he's getting closer each game, as always with Robbie, you know it's only a matter of time.

Match Facts & Stats

These two teams have met 26 times in league competition with Forest leading the way having won 12 of those, Reading 8 & 6 draws. Forest also lead the way on goals scored here with 40 goals in those 26 games compared to Reading 30.

Ref Watch:

Lee Probert of Wiltshire will take control of this game. It's been a mixed bag with Mr Probert for Forest with him having taken charge of 3 Forest games last season of which we won 1, drew 1 & lost one in which he gave out 18 yellow cards (8 to Forest & 10 to the opposition) but no red. He was also the Referee for the FA Cup tie that saw Forest beat Manchester City 3 - 0.

He will be assisted by David Richards of West Yorkshire & Paul Thompson of Derbyshire

Graham Horwood of Bedfordshire will be the 4th official.

Match Prediction:

There are rarely many goals in this fixture & a single goal victory seems to be the most common score line, with that in mind (& a healthy dollop of prayer) I'm going for a 0 - 1 Forest away win.
