Doncaster Rovers vs. Nottingham Forest

Keepmoat Stadium

2/10/10

3pm

Preview: Donny v Forest

Forest make the short trip North on Saturday, to face Sean O'Driscoll's Doncaster Rovers. This has become one of the more attractive fixtures of recent years on account of the fact that Donny play a decent game of football.

The good start that Rovers made to the season has falterred somewhat of late, with 2 defeats on the bounce. They went down 3-0 to QPR last weekend and lost in midweek, 2-1 away to Coventry.

Forest will go into the game feeling confident on the back of a decent run of form, having lost only once in their opening 9 games. However, only 2 of those games have resulted in victory for the Reds', with 6 ending in draws. A win would be nice of course, but mainly because we don't play again until October 16 due to yet another international break.

Vital Quotes:

Doncaster Rovers Team News:

Rovers have a few concerns going into the game. They will definitely be without James Chambers and Wayne Thomas with knee injuries and they will wait and see if defender Shelton Martis can recover in time from a groin strain he picked up in midweek.

Player to watch: Billy Sharp

He loves scoring against us and has already got 3 to his credit so far this campaign.

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Robert Earnshaw could be missing once again, with the official site stating that he still hasn't recovered from the thigh injury he picked up against Hull 3 weeks ago. Other than Earnie, the Reds' have a clean bill of health for once.

Player to watch: Lewis McGugan

McGugan continued his recent good form in midweek. Despite failing to add to his 4 goals this season in the game over the Blunts, he was one of the few Forest players on the night to have a good game.

Match Facts & Stats

In 28 meetings between the 2 sides, Forest have won 14, drawn 7 and lost 7. Last season we lost 1-0 at their place, but thumped them 4-1 at the City Ground.

Match Prediction:

I can only see another draw for us in this one, but I think there will be goals. 2-2

Forest are REALLY overdue a decent performance at the Keepmoat, we've yet to put one in since Donny moved to the place. The time could be right.
