Tuesday 24th September
Nottingham Forest will attempt to win a place in the last 16 of the League Cup on Tuesday night against a Burnley team that have started the season well.
Burnley Win 8/5
Forest win 17/10
Ings 1st goal 5/1
Derbyshire 1st goal 8/1
Ross Wallace will be missing for Burnley after suffering ligament damage to his knee & lost David Jones to a cut ankle at the weekend but otherwise came through their win over Leeds with an fully fit squad.
Ings has filled the void left by Charlie Austin admirably & is Burnley's top scorer with 4 goals in all competitions.
Billy Davies will no doubt make more sweeping changes to his starting 11 for this cup fixture. Kelvin Wilson will almost certainly miss out while Jara Reyes, Harding, Collins, Moussi, Paterson & Derbyshire will almost certainly feature.
After most fans had written his Forest career off before pre season, Derbyshire has actually been proving his worth recently with 3 early season goals including two in this competition.
Turf Moor hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Forest in recent years, having only registered one win in Burnley since the pre Brian Clough days with that single victory being an Andy Reid inspired 0 - 3 away win in 2003.
Both teams have started the league season well & curently sit in the top six with Burnley currently in the second automatic place.
Tomorrows referee with be Darren Drysdale, in 6 games so far this term he has dished out 18 yellow cards, 2 red & awarded 1 penalty.
His last Forest game was a City Ground tie last season when Forest ran out 3 - 1 winners over eventual Champions Cardiff City in which he also sent off Adlene Guedioura.
His last Burnley game was at Turf Moor where they lost out to Birmingham city in a 1 - 2 home defeat, that game saw Dean Marney sent off & Ross Wallace score a consolatory penalty.
In his career to date Mr Drysdale has officiated 216 games, handing out 592 yellow cards, issued 38 red cards & awarded 52 penalties.
He will be assistant by Alan Clayton and Alf Greenwood with Fourth Official for the day being Scott Duncan
Burnley 1 - 1 Forest with a penalty shoot out deciding it.
